External applicant meaning

  • External Auditor as used here shall mean any registered public accounting firm engaged for the purpose of preparing or issuing an audit report or performing other audit, review or attest services for the Company. Each such external auditor shall report directly to the Committee. With respect to the external auditor, the Committee shall:

  • external borders means external borders as defined in point 2 of Article 2 of Regulation (EU) 2016/399;

  • External Account means an Account held at another Canadian financial institution; an Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada registrant; a card issuer; or an entity eligible for membership with Payments Canada, being an account in Your name or on which You have the authority to independently authorize Transactions.

  • External dose means that portion of the dose equivalent received from any source of radiation outside the body.

  • External Manager means either of the following: (1) A person who is seeking to be, or is, retained by a board or an investment vehicle to manage a portfolio of securities or other assets for compensation, or (2) A person who manages an investment fund and who offers or sells, or has offered or sold, an ownership interest in the investment fund to a board or an investment vehicle.

  • Internal audit means an independent appraisal activity established within a state agency as a control system to examine and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of other internal control systems within the agency.

  • Internal dose means that portion of the dose equivalent received from radioactive material taken into the body.

  • Automated external defibrillator or “AED” means an external semiautomatic device that determines whether defibrillation is required.

  • external company means a foreign company that is carrying on business, or non-profit activities, as the case may be, within the Republic, subject to section 23(2);

  • external wall means an outer wall of a building even though adjoining to a wall of another building and also means a wall abutting on an interior open space of a building;

  • External floating roof means a storage vessel cover in an open tank top consisting of a double deck or pontoon single deck which rests upon and is supported by the petroleum liquid being contained and is equipped with a closure seal or seals to close the space between the roof edge and tank shell.

  • External beam radiation therapy means therapeutic irradiation in which the source of radiation is at a distance from the body.

  • Internal Procedures means in respect of the making of any one or more entries to, changes in or deletions of any one or more entries in the register at any time (including without limitation, original issuance or registration of transfer of ownership) the minimum number of the Warrant Agent’s internal procedures customary at such time for the entry, change or deletion made to be complete under the operating procedures followed at the time by the Warrant Agent, it being understood that neither preparation and issuance shall constitute part of such procedures for any purpose of this definition;

  • External Market Buyer means a Market Buyer making purchases of energy from the PJM Interchange Energy Market for consumption by end-users outside the PJM Region, or for load in the PJM Region that is not served by Network Transmission Service.

  • external engineering service means an engineering service situated outside the boundaries of a land area and that is necessary to serve the use and development of the land area;

  • External Directors means directors appointed and serving in accordance with Sections 239 through 249 of the Companies Law.

  • External Resource means a generation resource located outside the metered boundaries of the PJM Region.

  • internal waters means any navigable river or waterway within the State of California.

  • Safeguards Monitoring Report means each report prepared and submitted by the Borrower to ADB that describes progress with implementation of and compliance with the EMP and the RP (as applicable), including any corrective and preventative actions;

  • Internal combustion engine or "Engine" means an energy converter, other than a gas turbine, designed to transform chemical energy (input) into mechanical energy (output) with an internal combustion process; it includes, where they have been installed, the emission control system and the communication interface (hardware and messages) between the engine's electronic control unit(s) and any other powertrain or category T vehicle or non-road mobile machinery control unit necessary to comply with this Regulation;

  • Internal Market Buyer means a Market Buyer making purchases of energy from the PJM Interchange Energy Market for ultimate consumption by end-users inside the PJM Region that are served by Network Transmission Service.

  • Internal floating roof means a cover or roof in a fixed-roof tank that rests upon or is floated upon, the liquid being contained, and is equipped with a closure seal or seals to close the space between the roof edge and the tank shell.

  • Assurance means any warranty, representation, statement, assurance, covenant, agreement, undertaking, indemnity, guarantee or commitment of any nature whatsoever;

  • External Debt means obligations (other than the Notes) of, or guaranteed by, the Republic for borrowed money or evidenced by bonds, notes or other similar instruments denominated or payable, or those which at the option of the holder thereof are so denominated or payable, in a currency other than the local currency of the Republic.

  • External inspection means an inspection made when a boiler is in operation.

  • Data Safeguards means the highest industry-standard safeguards (including administrative, physical, technical, and procedural safeguards) against the destruction, loss, misuse, unauthorized disclosure, or alteration of the JBE data or Confidential Information, and such other related safeguards that are set forth in applicable laws, regulations, and guidance, a statement of Work, or pursuant to JBE policies or procedures.
