नदी भले ही समुद्र में मिलती है पर उसके पहले एक पहचान बनाकर जाती है। ऐसे ही बीज भले ही खत्म हो जाता है पर अपना सबकुछ पेड़ में दे जाता है। मनुष्य का जीवन नदी और बीज की तरह है। इसमें नदी जैसा प्रवाह और बीज जैसी गहराई है। हर नदी की नीति है कि या तो सूख जाएगी या बहते हुए सीधे अथवा अन्य नदी के माध्यम से किसी सागर में मिल जाएगी। यहां सागर उस परमशक्ति को मान लिया जाए जहां से हम आए हैं। जन्म माता-पिता ने दिया है और हमारे भीतर अंश उस परमशक्ति का भी है जो पंचतत्व के रूप में प्रकट होती है। जिं़दगीभर जो भी करिए, पर जब जीवन का समापन होगा तो पृथ्वी अपना हिस्सा ले लेगी, जल अपना भाग लेकर निकल जाएगा, अग्नि वो सबकुछ ले लेगी जो उसने दिया है। यही काम वायु और आकाश भी करेंगे। इसलिए जब जीवन की यात्रा कर रहे हों तो पंचतत्व को समझें और नदी की तरह एक प्रवाह बनाए रखिए। जीवन का दूसरा रूप बीज की तरह है। जैसे पेड़ की प्रत्येक डाली में, हर फूल, फल और पत्ते में बीज बसा है, ऐसे ही मनुष्य के रोम-रोम में परमात्मा बसा है और आप उसे पा सकते हैं, इस एहसास के साथ कि अपनी जड़ों की ओर चलिए तो कहीं न कहीं बीज का स्वाद मिल जाएगा। जब जीवन को बीज और नदी से जोड़ें तो पहला काम यह करें कि लगातार प्रवाहित रहेंगे, रुकेंगे नहीं, अटकेंगे नहीं। और दूसरा बीज की तरह अपना सबकुछ वृक्ष को दे देंगे।
